Diane moved to Minot in 2012 after earning her Juris Doctor degree with Dean’s Honors from the Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas in the same year. As part of her studies at Washburn Law, Diane received certificates in Estate Planning and Tax Law. While at Washburn Law she was a Research Editor for the Washburn Law Journal and published two articles: Right the First Time: A Critique of the Fifth Circuit’s Refusal to Classify Sidewalks as a “Service, Program, or Activity” Under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 50 WASHBURN L.J. 773 (2011); and The American Indian Probate Reform Act: A Five-Year Review, 51 WASHBURN L.J. 105 (2012).

A native of Manhattan, Kansas, Diane received her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in History and Business Administration: Management and Finance, from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas in 2006. Diane played golf for Tabor and still enjoys playing the occasional round during North Dakota’s long summer evenings. Prior to attending law school Diane worked as a Financial Analyst for AT&T Application and Hosting Services in Annapolis, Maryland.
